Oh what a beautiful morning! The last two days do not have much to tell. It has been beautiful out and we have had great walks. We met an 11 yr old guy named Pete yesterday that was really neat. Today we walked with Abby. That girl is fun and that is for sure. I just found out I weigh 100lbs. Abby weighs 118lbs and she is a year younger than me! What am I gonna do when she gets bigger than me? Anyway, we met a very cool Rhodesian Ridgeback named Jack today. He and Abby seem to be great buddies. I got into that action for awhile but my person said we had to go home. I will tell you this. After we got home my person took Jessie out. Mimi and I don't mind staying home too much when Jessie goes out. Anyway, she came home saying she too had a great walk and met a puppy named Zevy(or something like that). She said the puppy played with her a lot and she felt like a Spring chicken again. (whatever that means?) Jessie did not have a hard time breathing and enjoyed her walk very much. She even wore that cool sweater she has. Happy Spring to one and all. Keep on Sniffin' Merlin

Hey Everyone,
This is Mimi and me listening to "OUR GIRL" talk about her outdoor adventures for the last few days. We are so excited she is home. Mimi kept making that whining sound and running in between her legs when she got home. I jumped right up and kissed her face. (I always get in trouble for that). Anyway, when we settled down we heard lots of stories but more importantly got lots of pets. No walking today as it is cold, raining, sort of snowy yucko. Who cares! Our girl is home!!!!!

March 27,2008
Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning! I know I keep saying that Spring is here but today there was even more proof. We saw tons of dogs! I saw old friends and new friends! Plus, I heard the people talking this morning and I think "our girl" is coming home today. Oh happy day.
Well, we were walking down by the beach and suddenly I saw my 'ole pal Tango. She was with like 4 other Aussie Shepards. I was so excited I was running in circles when I finally reached them. We hung out for a few minutes and were off on our way. Tango's person asked about Jessie. Me person was telling her it is had for Jessie to walk and both people seemed sad. I get sad too. Everyone loves Jessie. We than ran right into little Scout and her person. They were headed in the other direction but turned around and walked with us. Well, little Scout is just so much fun. She can run really fast and I love to chase her. Mimi was off on her own exploring the woods while Scout and I made the open field our playground. I laid down flat in a big huge puddle and I was just so happy. We ran into Pearl, Tango and Ziggy. My person did not restrain me but was watching me really close so Ziggy and I did not get in a fight. Everything was OK and we went on our way. We picked up Winnie and Scooter along the way. That was great because I could play with Scooter and Scout. One big dog one little dog. Life is good. I also saw the wonderful Niles and Caber. I have not seen them in awhile. I wish I saw them earlier because I love to run around with Niles and Caber is becoming a contender! Plus, their person always gives me good pets and tells me how handsome I am. She never says it but I know she is looking at my tail! We saw Pippin on the way out and Scooter, Pippin and I had one last romp before it was leashes and parking lot time. I gotta go get a nap in case I am right and "our girl" is coming home. Sweet dreams. Merlin!

March 26, 2008
Today is "our girls" birthday. She is still away at some classroom in nature. We all miss her very much. Mimi loves t\our girl to pieces. Mimi tries nit to show her emotions though. I bet when our girl gets home Mimi will jump for joy. I know I will.
We met a really cool dog today named Pugsly. He was a Pit Bull/Sharpe mix. He was very good looking and had lots of energy. I really liked him. After a little bit of time we ran into a woman with a people puppy. Not the one from the other day. This is a Lab named Callie's people. I thought for sure that we were going to have to stop walking and stuff. My person gets so caught up in those little people. Lucky for us the person and the people puppy walked with us. So, even though my person payed no attention to Mimi or me it was still good. I laid right down in a bunch of mud puddles but my person hardly noticed. She was all caught up in that little pink bundle that the person had strapped to the front of her.
The whole park is opened up for the running with hardly any snow now. It is very muddy but I like that.
The only thing that happened that I did not like was a little problem when I we were leaving. My person was getting us in the car to take us home. Just as she said "Load up Merlin," (that is my cue to jump in the back) some other dog tried to jump in our car. Mimi and I got really mad and there was lots of barking and scampering about. I was so mad. Nobody is getting in my car without my permission. Anyway, my person insisted both me and Mimi get in the car. I think that the only thing my person gets mad about at the park is dogs off their leads in the parking lot. We have almost hit a couple of dogs when they are not restrained. It is a little risky but I will let the people argue about that~! Hope our girl comes home soon!!!

March 25, 2008
Well, it has been a strange couple of days. My guess was right ane "our girl" packed up and went somewhere yesterday. My person was out for a long time in the morning so I did not think I was going to get to the park. When she got home we went! I was so glad. It was a little strange because we did not know a lot of dogs there. We did see Turbo who had made friends with Jessie last summer. I think he was bummed that Jessie was not with us. It was different at the park because it was really warm and the ground was really soft. Mimi and I had a really fun time!
Today, we left for the park way earlier than usual. It was so nice and peaceful. My person even walked out in the field further than she usually does. Mimi and I played together a lot. I could hear a bunch of Geese making a ton of noise. They flew over head but were way out of my reach. Lucky for them! There was a Woodpecker having himself a time somewhere in the woods. It was really really loud but my human seemed to like it. In the lower fields there are still a ton of puddles and today they had a tinin layer of ice on them. I was having so much fun running through them. (crunch, splash, crunch splash, crunch, splash) A bit cold but I did not care. We saw Deli, Clementine and Luna so of course my person had to stop and talk. She gives that Luna puppy lots of attention. OK, so she is brown, curly hair and really cute and playful. So what? I still have an unbeatable tail!
I plaed with Liken for a bit chasing a ball. It was fun and Mimi did not get too mad!

Sunday 3/24/08
My person got us up and out very early this morning. We saw only a few dogs but it was a really beautiful walk. The parts where the old dead grass is really high is super to dig your back legs into and just kick as hard as you can. Mimi and I were sniffing the ground everywhere because every day more and more things are waking up under ground. I was disappointed that there was no squirrel-sicle left from where I dropped it yesterday. I am sure some other lucky dog got it. My people are talking about our kid "the girl", going away for a few days and they are putting a bunch of stuff in bags. I will hate her being gone but Mimi will probably get really sad. She adores the girl. They said something about Nature's Classroom. If she wants a classroom in nature why doesn't she just come and hang out at the Dog Park for a few days. I learn a new lesson almost every day. I wonder if Chevy gets to go? Hhhhmmmmmm? I will let you know how it goes.

Saturday 3/22/08
Saturday in the park is always an adventure!!! First of all Mimi was just nuts when we first got there. We saw Fast Eddie and Cloe leaving and Mimi started barking and chasing after Eddie. Cloe and Mimi look a lot a like so maybe she just gets defensive right off the bat. I did not care because all I could see was the sunshine and the path leading into the woods. That first path is just full of chipmunks and other little furry things that run really fast and climb trees. Mimi and I ran up and down chasing everything that moved. Before long Eli caught up to us. I have not seen Eli in awhile. He and I are the same age and I really like playing with him. We ran in the fields while all our people walked together. The one person with Eli I did not know. His voice was a little different sounding than the others. There was some talk of good day mate and putting the shrimp on the barbie. I liked him even though he talked funny. Half way up "the hill" my old buddy Zoe showed up. I was so excited I jumped right up on my person and everyone sort of gasped and she grabbed onto a tree. I don't know why these people get so up tight. I was just telling her that both Eli and Zoe were here! So, I can hardly wait to tell you the next part. Remember a week or so ago I told you that Mel got a squirrel. I GOT ONE TODAY!!! Lucky for me there was no running to get it. It was already in squirrel-sickle form. I got to run in front of Zoe, Eli and Mimi with my prize. I was so excited! Plus, it was the best treat I have had in a long time. Much better than any marrow bone I ever had. All the people started in with that "Merlin, drop it" stuff. Yeah Right! I hung onto it and had my fill. My person put me on lead so if I dropped something I could not go back to get it. Bummer! It is still true that Eli, Zoe and Mimi know that it was ME, Merlin, I got the squirrel. On our way out of the park we saw Daisy which just makes my day. She is a good friend. As all the leashes were coming out some Black Lab started giving my boy Eli a hard time. I did not recognize the Lab. The people handled it pretty well and nobody got hurt. Anyway, it was such a good fun time today I laid all the way down in the car on the way home. Now, I am going to go in our yard and lay in the sun. Just remember, today is the day that Merlin got the squirrel. Peace, Love and Bones! Merlin

TGIF 3/21/08
Another great day. I have to say though that as much as I love my people I will never understand them. I am going to tell some people secrets here and I know my person will be a little mad but I must. I will get to all that.
So, it was bright and sunny but very windy today. Down by the river where there is a lot of open space it was really blowing. Now, my person really is pretty good at braving the weather to get us out doors but I am still wondering why they do not grow their hair out. I think my person could have a really nice coat. She does not do it however. In fact she cuts it all the time. I know Mimi gets really mad when they bring her for a hair cut. She is so embarrassed at the park afterward. I do walk a little in front of her sometimes so people forget we are together. OK so that is one confusing thing. I have always wondered why they do not walk on 4 feet. I think the advantages are obvious. I will say that I do think thumbs would improve my life though. I could open doors, refrigerators, etc. I have to say one more thing about the wind. My tail looks FABULOUS in the wind. Plus, my ears sort of sail up a little. I mean I got it goin' on in the wind.
The list goes on and on. We ran into a little Terrier named Marley that I had never met before. My person and her person started talking about little dogs being really fun. I wonder if I am going to get another brother or sister?
OK so my person had to pee while we were there. This is the other confusing thing. She goes way in the woods and looks around, hurries up and seems to hate the process. OK! I do not get that. I must pee 50times while we are at the park. How is anybody supposed to know you were there if you do not pee? I wish she felt free enough to just pee out in the open. I think the other dogs would appreciate it too. Maybe we could get a whiff of what we do not understand about out people.
The pictures are of the river where we swim when we can, our buddy Bandit and the view from one of my person's favorite spots at the park. I love being a dog!

Thusday March 20th
WOW! What a day. We have walked in the last couple of days but Mimi has not been with me and it was all sort of low key. We walked with Abby but cut it a little short because my person's hip was hurting so we went on a short walk. It was worth the wait for today. It was such a great day! There are HUGE puddles everywhere at the park. My person did not seem to mind me running in them today. Plus, there are tons of chipmunks and squirrels everywhere. I was immediately running all over the place, up and down all of the hills and chasing those little critters. Most importantly was that I was not alone. Mimi was back on the walk today. She was barking at me and shoving me out of her way. It was great. We ran and ran and ran. My person's hip is better too so she was feeling like she really wanted to travel. Hooray! we were all back and ready to go. So, we ran into Daisy who was hanging out with Lenny. I have not seen Lenny in a long time. That boy is looking good. He had a bit of a severe haircut but it was good to see him. It is so weird what I saw next. We went by the dog beach and there was no beach. The water from the river is so high that the entire beach area is covered in water. It is hard to believe that just a few months ago the water was so low you could walk across the river to the other shore. Even Mimi with her little legs could get across.
So, we walked alone most of the time but I did not care because me and my sister had so much fun. I almost forgot to say that we have been going up "the hill" the last few days. That is a very good sign. Just as we were getting to the end of the walk things got crazy! First of all I saw Mia and Molly. Well, lets face it. Mia loves me! She is a Standard Poodle and I am very happy that we saw each other. We pranced around together a bit but than there was a lot of shouting and pointing going on near the parking lot. As it turns out this little poodle named Holly had gotten away from her person and was out in the road. Cars were stopping and yelling "Is anyone missing a dog?" All of the people started yelling down the paths looking for Holly's person. My person stopped the shananagans between me and Mia and put me and Mimi on lead. Turns out it was Sonic and Scully's sister Holly! Her person showed up right away and got her out of the road and everyone was safe. Now, I like that crew but I gotta tell you my person mad mee a little upset. She put me and Mimi in the car and went over to check on Holly. Only, that is not really why she went over. Sure she likes Holly but the real reason is because Holly's person has a people puppy. I think they call them "babies" or something. Anyway, she went over there and spent all her time with that baby. He was smiling and happy as he could be. My person did not let me out to sniff him, roll him in the mud, lick his face, NOTHING! So, my person and their person stood there with all of the dogs in the cars and played with the people puppy (aka: baby) for a long time. HELLO! This is the dog park, not the baby park. I am sure there is a park for babies somewhere! Anyway, I am glad Holly is OK!

St. Patrick's Day
I had a nice walk today. Mimi is still limping so I have to go alone. We were a few minutes early today so we missed some friends. I stayed really close to my person today. When Mimi is not there I feel totally responsible for her.
We had a nice time but it is hard to walk. When the park gets muddy everyone makes footprints in the soft snow or mud. It gets cold at night and it all freezes unevenly. My person is afraid she will break an ankle. Here is my question. What's an ankle? I know elbows and shoulders but I don't think I have an ankle. We saw Skye and her person and the people for awhile. Of course! They seemed happier today! It was not until the end that we ran into little Scout and her person. My person and Scout's person yakked away about their kids being in something called a "Opera". That is sort of a cool sounding word but I am not sure what it means. I do know that all of my people were out this weekend and my kid came home with a painted up face. I just do not get these people!

Sunday 3/16
Well, yesterday was a stay home and get brushed day. I am not a fan of being brushed but my tail looks great! So anyway Mimi is limping so she could not go on the walk today. I told her to stop but she says her right rear paw is really sore. She was sore when we went without her!
We saw Pippin and Lilo when we first got to the park. I love playing with Pippin but Lilo gets mad. That is exactly what Mimi does too when I play with others. We did not walk with them because they were waiting for the rest of the Sunday Poodle people to show up. They all get together and walk together on Sunday mornings. So, we walked alone for a long time. The park is half MUD and half crunchy snow. I did run through a few puddles but my person started that "Merlin, Merlin, Merlin, No no, no!" thing again. I figure the puddles will be here for a long time. There were no other dogs around to see me get away with it so I did not bother to lay down and roll! This is an important lesson for you young dogs. Why get your people upset when no body is around to see it. Choose wisely. Anyway, we ended up seeing Abby the Mastiff. She plays with me a lot more now that she is bigger. So, there we were 2 REALLY BIG dogs running in the muddy field and having a blast. I actually missed Mimi barking at me and being jealous. We also saw a Little Sheba named Taka. She lives in our neighborhood. I met a new dog named Tiffany who is a Corgi/Shelti mix. I liked her because we have the same colors and she did not mind how big I am. We saw that guy who smokes a pipe on the way out. My person really likes him. She says the pipe reminds her of her Dad. She gets a happy look in her eye when she says that. That guy belongs to 2 dogs. One is named Elliot but I do not know the other one. I really want to see them sooner in the walk because that one dog teases me and I want to chase her bad!!! Maybe my person will walk with the pipe smokin' guy some day. They always talk a little. They are still crying over something called the Patriots? Get over it and lets get to the river I say!!!! Hope tomorrow is a beautiful day and that Mimi feels better. I missed my sister today!

Friday 3/14
Well, this picture says it all. I am covered in mud. Life could not really be any better. Mimi was so happy at the park today too. She and I have been playing together much more than ever before. We have different interests but sometimes we really just have fun together.
There is so much good news at the park today. The birds were singing a really big WELCOME SPRING song. The river was rushing too fast to swim in but it just plain old looked good. I did go get a drink from the river but my person called me away from it. (heavy sigh). There are 2 best parts of the park today. The first one is that there are tons of mud puddles. I love mud puddles. I lay in them and get all cooled off and they smell of so many wonderful park smells it is just way too cool! My person never wants me in them. I always hear "Merlin, no, no, no, no, leave it... ugh!" I usually listen to her but sometimes a dogs gotta do what a dog has got to do!
Anyway, we saw Luna, Clementine, Flannel and Deli. They always walk together. We saw Scooter and Winnie too. They were all leaving as we got there. This leads me to the second really good park news. We walked with Daisy! She is all better and she ran with me and we played with a stick together and ran in the field and everything.! I am so glad Daisy is back.We also saw Sallie May and Bandit. They were on their way in while we were on our way out. We still are not doing "the hill". there are many hills at the dog park but only one that is called "the hill." It is really steep and very icy. We looked at it from the top yesterday and from the bottom today. It does not look good from either angle. I know we are close to doing that hill!!! Then, I will know it is Spring. Hey, I got everybody pee-mail today. I left some too. We will all bark soon!

Thursday 3/13
Today is one of those mornings that confuses me. My person gets all ready to leave but than she takes the kid with her instead of me and Mimi. Than, I watch out the window and she goes up the street picking up other kids. Sometimes my person comes back quickly and sometimes it takes awhile. Today it took awhile and she came back smelling like that Border Collie, Skye. I have to guess that they were at that "school" place where my kid goes in the day. I mentioned before that Skye's person and my person talk about school budgets way too much. My person seemed upset when she got home. She was talking to my other person saying it looks like Bridge Street(the school) might very well close. You know, I like that place. Mimi, Jessie and I have all gone to visit there. They have their own dog named Chevy and she is great. I do not know how Chevy landed such a great job. When I go to the school there are so many kids and they all pet you and say you are great. What a job!!! I hope these people figure it out.
So, off to the dog park. HOORAY!!!! We got there late so we walked alone a lot. It was so fun. I think Mimi had the most fun of all. She loves when the snow melts because she can run into the woods. When there is allot of snow her little legs sink and she cannot go anywhere. She took off into the woods a lot today. My person seems to get worried about her and calls her back. I do not know why she worries. First of all, Mimi and I know how good we have it in our family and we are not going anywhere. Do not tell the people this secret because we still want them to pay attention to us. Plus, my person's cousin got us all new collars last year. They have our name and phone number embroidered on them. So someone would call her if we got lost. That was really nice of my person's cousin. Thanks.
Anyway, there are parts of the park now that are just plain old ground. The sections that are still icy were a little more crusty today so it makes it easier to walk. Mimi and I do get the build up of snow on our furry toes. I hate that! My person rubs Musher's Secret on them before we go out and that really helps them not get snow stuck. Mimi ended up getting burrs on her though. They really stink. Last summer I got some so stuck in my tail that my person had to cut my fur. My tail is one of the best parts of me. She had to cut the fur on my tail and I looked so silly. Going to the park was plain old embarrassing. I mean, other dogs are so jealous of my tail and there I was all shaved. Well, I am going to try and not have that happen this year. I can tell you on behalf of Mimi and myself, it is not easy being hairy! See you all at the dog park!

Wednesday 3/12
No walk today. My person went grocery shopping. Do you know what I saw when she unpacked the bags. MARROW BONES!!!! I saw really good ones that are long and just so full of that really good stuff! Holy Cow!!! Get it? Holy cow! Anyway, I get 1 marrow bone after breakfast every morning. I think my person gives me one so she can have something called coffee in peace. I really do not care why I am just SO glad I get it. Tomorrow will be a dog park day for sure, after my marrow bone. I am just chillin' today! Happy Barking, Merlin

Tuesday 3/11
Another Glorious Day at the Dog Park. We walked with Lucy and Charles and their person. My person really likes their person and they laugh the whole time. We ran into Mel and Bella. Mel had a dead squirrel!!! Lucky, lucky Mel!! She is a fast little girl and I bet she caught it on her own. The people were saying she found it dead but I think Mel caught it. I am so jealous because I chase them all the time and I never catch one. The really weird thing was that all the people were yelling for Mel to "drop it" . a couple of people even tried to catch her but there was no way Mel was going to get caught. Plus, these people had no business trying to get that squirrel. I mean Mel got it and she deserved to keep it. Maybe she wanted to bring it home and show other humans and the other 4 legged in the neighborhood. I mean this is a big status symbol for her. HOORAY for Mel.
We took a walk up to the far tree line in the big field. It is beautiful there. I hope we go back after the snow goes away. We ran into Amber and her human said that Amber had seen a BEAR yesterday up where we had just been. They are walking up for sure!!! It is still very hard to walk at the Dog Park. It is a frozen tundra that looks like an ice skating rink. There are some spots though where the snow and ice have gone away. I can see the grass and the ground. More importantly, I can smell all those little guys who sleep under ground all winter. they are starting to stir down there. The birds are singing really loud inviting Spring to come and see us! It is going to happen soon and there will be things to chase and rivers to swim in before you know it.

Monday 3/10
Oh HAPPY Day! My person was gone for 2 whole days. My other person and the kid did not bring me to the park at all. I love them both very much but when the curly haired person is not around Mimi and I get the back yard is all.
Anyway, she came back last night and sure enough we went to the Dog Park today. It was bright and sunny but I heard all the people saying it was cold. I wonder why they just don't let their hair grow. Mimi and I are always nice and warm.
The ground was solid ice today. The whole park was very, very slippery. The ground was beautiful though. After all that rain and the freezing there were beautiful shapes and figures in the ice. It almost looked like a painting. I thought about that for about 1 second and than I ran and ran. We saw that really cute little brown Labradoodle named Luna. She is another one that I really like but she is too little for me to play with. I run toward her and she just gives up. I am not going to hurt the little girl, she just needs to remember who is in charge. We had a nice long walk but forget about the hill! It is too slippery for anyone! That is what I think anyway. HOORAY FOR BEING BACK AT THE PARK.

Friday 3/7/08
Well, Good Morning and welcome sunshine. The other day when it rained my person took us to the park in the afternoon! I liked going because it is the Dog Park after all but I did not see anyone I knew really. There is this new little Schnauzer named Garbo which is very cool. I heard her person say that they got him from a shelter in Chicopee. I can't believe some human sent that boy back. He has very good energy. Glad he has loving people now. I heard he has kids too! Lucky boy.
I was so jealous the other day because my human found out that Abby (the dog not the human) has the same birthday as her. My person was so excited she hugged that dog right around the neck just like she does to me. I was way up on top of a hill and I saw all this going on and CHARGED down to my person but I nearly knocked her over and she was mad at me. I do not like her hugging other dogs like that.
Anyway today was mostly a good day. When we got to the park I immediately saw Bosco! I LOVE Bosco. We started running back and forth with a stick and rolling all over the place. Than, Ziggy came up and tried to take the stick. I got really mad and growled my hardest and showed my teeth and went right after her. My person and Ziggy's person get so mad at me when I do that. I wish I could explain to them why I do it. I guess it is a dog thing. Our people are very interested in figuring it out because Ziggy and I used to be friends. I hope these people can figure me out because I know nobody is happy when I behave badly.
We went on a long walk after that with Bosco. That boy can really play hard. I LOVE IT. The people seem to not want us to run and play right near them. I just want them to see how much fun we are having and have them join in. They seem to get afraid and say things like "watch your knees, get into the field, etc." Why don't they just try to grab the stick!!! Silly people!
Anyway, here is the best news of all! DAISY is back!!!! She is still limping a little bit and she could not run with me like usual but it was great to see her. My person hugged her and gave her a treat but I did not mind that. I mean everyone loves Daisy and she was hurt really bad.
So, the sun was out and I got a long walk which was really great!!!! My person is leaving town for 2 days and I am hearing that word again Rain! See you all Monday. I hope!

Wednesday 3/5
This morning is sort of a bummer. It is really raining hard this morning. For some reason my person does not go to the park when it rains. I do not really get it. I mean it is just water. My coat drys very fast and I don't get cold at all so what is the problem? Don't even get me started about Mimi. Her fur does not even absorb the water, it just rolls right off. My sister Jessie is another story. She is really old, 13 years. She loves the dog park so much but she has not gone in a long time. She has a hard time breathing when she moves too fast so it is hard. Lots of people ask about her at the park. My person does give her extra treats when we leave. I hope after the snow goes away she can go again.
So, the Vet came yesterday. I was right when I said she smells better than anyone but than she sticks you with sharp stuff. Plus, she took some of my blood. What is she going to do with my blood? She has some of her own so why does she have to take mine? My person seems to really like her but I am suspicious. I do not bark at her or anything but I always think I might. I did pee on her a little bit but that was an accident. I sure hope I can go to the park tomorrow and that the Vet does not come back for a long time.

Monday 3/4
So, here is the proof about that cat Junior kneeding my butt. It really is hard to keep up my image when this is going on at home!
What a great day at the Dog Park. As soon as we got out of the car Mimi started barking as usual. I love my sister but she really is loud sometimes. Anyway, we saw Bella and Mel. Bella really never wants to leave the park. I can't blame her really. We ran into lots of my pals leaving as we got there. We saw that beautiful little Border Collie named Sky. She is still a little shy around me but she is young still. Her person and my person always get yaking about who knows what. Something about school budgets and stuff. That guy my person always seem to talk about their kids. I guess it is as good a subject as any but I was sure looking to keep walking. We passed Deli and Clemintine along with a new dog named Jasmine. Than we ran into Scooter and Winnie. Ziggy was there and I stole her ball. I have a thing about stealing whatever Ziggy has. I am not sure why I do it but I just have too. Winnie's person ended up throwing the ball for all of us so it was OK. We walked alone for a long while after that and my sister Mimi and I ran through all the fields together just running in the slushy snow. It was so warm out I just can not wait to jump in that river. It was so quite and peaceful. All you could hear was the rushing river and a few birds making some calls to bring Spring back to us. We saw Kaya and ran into Clementine and Jasmine again. Lucky dogs got to go around twice!!! The big hill wasslipp ery today. I am so glad I have big claws to dig into that ice. Mimi's legs come out from underneath her and she slides on her belly. She looks sort of weird doing that.
Anyway, we saw big Scout and Bandit too. On the way out we ran into our friend Tuckers, mom and brother. There was a little white furry dog who was fun to play with but I think I scared her. I do not realize how big I am sometimes.
Today has been a great walking day. I am worried because I keep hearing words that do not always mean good things for me. Word 1) RAIN Word 2) Vet. The Vet is coming today. I don't get that woman. She smells better than anyone else but than she pokes you with sharp stuff!!!
I gotta go take a nap before the Vet gets here!! Wish me luck!

Monday 3/3
Hello All!
Wow a lot has happened in a short time. The best is that I snuggled up on the couch last night with my girl and watched "The Lion King". You know, I like that movie but how come a cat is the hero? I mean dogs are really the heroes in life. I guess that was just fiction.
Than at 1:30am the phone rang. My peeps answered it and it was the City of Northampton Department of Public Safety. The asked if my peeps have a Chihuahua? I mean I like Chihuahuas but come on! Do I look like that sort of dog? Does Mimi or Jessie? The closest thing we have to a Chihuahua is a hamster named Peek-a-choo. Anyway my peeps called them back this morning and they did find that Chihuahua's family and that is good news.
So, my person was tired this morning and promised only a short walk. It turned out great though because we ran into Winnie and Scooter, I like those two. Plus there was an English Shepard whoes name I did not get. Very good looking dog. Tri colored and beautiful. We walked with them for awhile and than we ran into Pearl and Bella. We all played in the big field and I loved that. It was a great group of dogs. My person turned around and we walked back with Pearl and Bella. That was really fun too. There was lots of stick chasing and stealing from each other. Mimi did not bark too much today but she does get mad when play with the other dogs.
You know the people all get this funny look when they are talking about that pretty puppy Bella. They say she is sick or something but don't tell Bella that cuz she is having a blast.
SO, the truth is after i get home the little cat Junior jumps up on the couch with me and starts kneeding my butt. I do not think a dog should have to put up with this.

Sunday 3/3
WOW!!! Finally I got to the dog park. IT WAS SO GREAT! It is a beautiful sunny Sunday. On Sunday there are a lot more dogs and their people. Mimi and I hung out with our little buddy Scout. That is the little Scout not the Scout with that tall guy. We brought our kid with us and lucky Scout brought 2 kids. I love when the kids come but I get confused. I must stay with my kid so that she is safe at all times. On the other paw, I want to run and play and I still have to keep an eye on my regular person. It can be stressful for a dog. I did get to run and dive in the snow. I got to see Abby and Pearl and Liken. We saw Winnie and Scooter on the way out but I did not really get to play because of my kid. I can not wait until tomorrow!!!!

DAY ONE
Wow, what a bummer! Day one of my blog and we are not even going to the dog park. It is snowing out and my human won't drive on days like today. I mean come on I am a Mountain Dog! I could haul us all there if you just built me a cart. I could do it I could. I am half Bernese Mountain Dog and half Border Collie! I could do it. Come on PLEASE! I am not being used to my fullest potential!
