WE BEAT THE RAIN!

Greetings to all my dog park friends and their people. So, I was so afraid that it was going to be a a stinky rain day. My person loves our walk as much as we do so we got up and out early enough to miss the storms. We headed out the way you go to go down the hill. My person said there is a big Disc Golf tournament happening today. She figured if we went that way we would avoid getting all involved in that. I think she is afraid I would get into trouble. She is probably right.

So, off we went and it was a blast to begin with. We met a dog who must be from out of town. I say this because his name is Jeter. Now, I may be a dog but I know that I live in Red Sox Nation! I did notice that this dog was not, how do you say, altered. I suppose if you are going to be in Red Sox Nation with a name like Jeter you might want onto hang to those guys because someone is going to take a swipe at them.

We ran into Pearl with Pippin and Lilo. I have always liked Pearl but today was really special. We had so much fun running and playing around. Now, she does that jump up on my hips and try that dance thing. I will never figure out what the is all about. I ran with Pearl and Pippin all through the top fields. It was nothing but plain old fun. I was the first one to get into the water. I ran down to the deep part of the river that Bosco has showed me. I went alone so everyone was surprised when I showed up soaking wet.

At the beach lots of dogs came and went. Lets see we saw Dahli, Ester, Daphne, Zelda, Shana and maybe a few more. It was so busy and fun I could not believee it. This is me and Pearl in the river. As we left there we saw even more wonderful dogs! There was Rose the Berner and her fur is growing back in. She looks great. She had her little brother Rio with her. That is his picture at the top of thepage. We went up the medium hill and that was nice. Pearl is a great playmate and I enjoyed her so much. Mimi did her "I am just far too cool to play with dogs" thing. My sister. She is such a trip.

We saw Jack on the way out and Daphne the Basset started a run and chase game with Jack the Rhodesian Ridgeback. Now that was a sight to behold. I leave you with that visualization my friends! Enjoy the rainy day. Send good energy to my sister Jessie cuz she gets really scared during thunder storms.

Peace Out! Merlin

reincarnation?

This is Mimi taking her time getting out of the woods.

Yesterday while I was bogging a big cat fight broke out outside. I lost my train of thought and never finished the "where's your sister mister?" thing. Mimi is there at the park with me but she takes off into the woods. In this area my person gives us plenty of space and time to explore. She does have a lot of good qualities. Anyway, because of that when she does call to us that it is time to go I run to her right away. Not Mimi. she takes her time and pulls her hokey, poky routine. So, I go to our person and she says "Where's your sister mister?" Sometimes, I just don't want to be in charge of her all the time. GEEZEEE.
So, today we met an old man named Rex. He does not know he is 11 and has slowed down. I am going to keep the secret. There was another little dog with him named Emerald. This dog is what we call an "ankle biter." He was a little wire haired guy that was very small. He went right after Mimi and started nipping at her ankles and just plain old bugging her. Now, Mimi can certainly take care of herself but I ran right over and told that little guy to back off. Like most ankle biters he did not get the message and my person insisted Mimers and I keep moving. That was probably a good move on her part.
This is Mimi, Bella and Me at the beach.
Now, here comes the really cool part. We went to the beach and we were the only dogs there. We had the beach and the river to ourselves. I took the big plunge right away while Mimi got a drink and dug in the mud a little bit. It was so nice to be there alone but soon Bella showed up. Now, if any dog was going to join us Bella is the one I would pick. Anyway, Bella's person came with another people friend. This woman had very good energy. That being said, I could tell my person was very interested in what she was saying so I got close to hear. So, this new canine cronie was saying that she think that dogs are the reincarnation of really good people who have passed on. She mentioned some names that mean nothing to me but maybe your people can explain them to you. She said people like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa and a bunch more, have done such good work as humans that they get to come back as us dogs in good homes so they can relax and just enjoy the next life. WOW, now that is a lot for my little brain to think about. After that my person told her my name and she said "See, he was Merlin, the great and powerful Wizard and now he gets to be a dog!" It really is a good theory!
We stayed at the beach for a long time. When we left we walked mostly alone but it was great. Mimi and I ran off into the woods for long periods while I keep one eye on the path where my person is. I know I have left paw prints on her heart and she has left foot prints on mine. When we were about to leave we met a little puppy Cairn Terrier named Mac. OK, he was so cute and he was with another Cairn Terrier named Bella. They are so little and cute and they do not bite ankles!
I hear it might rain tomorrow! Think sunny thoughts.

Am I my sister's keeper'?

"Where's your sister mister?" Do you know how many times a day I hear that during one single walk? Well, I don't know either because I don't know how to count but I know it is a lot! We left a little later today so we saw some dogs but not many. We walked in the opposite direction today. I think my person finally figured out that she should just follow my lead when we get to the park. We started off in the opposite direction and the change was nice. Actually, I just like my person following my lead sometimes. I don't care what direction we go as long as we go. We saw 'ole spring foot Reilly! He is a good bit of fun that guy. He is so strong and fast. On the big hill we saw Holly, Sonic and Sculley and their people puppy. The people puppy was asleep so my person did not get to involved in all that silliness. We saw a great dog named Bo at the beach. He has a people puppy too. This people puppy can walk around though. He was tossing stones into the river. Good training for when he can toss a ball for us later on. It was more of a peaceful time today at the park. That is OK once in awhile but tomorrow better bring about more running and rough housing!

Early=Good

WOW! We left for the park a lot earlier than usual today. I was afraid that we would not see anyone at all. Boy, was I wrong~ First of all we saw Aussie who is actually a Golden. He is even older than Jessie. My person gave him a big pet and a big hello. He looked right at me and said "Son, (I am not really his son) all that is important is here right now. The park, this tennis ball and your person. Everything else is just sheded fur." Wow, he really is a wise old man. I will have to remember all of that. So, off to the beach and we saw Big Scout. His person gave me and Mimi big pets. We skedaddled along and to our delight ran right into Little Scout, Abby and Pearl! Hooray! It was time for some running and yelping and dashing about. Pearl was jumping up on Abby to ask her to dance but Abby seemed not at all interested. So, we all headed up the big hill together. When I was a puppy I used to chase Little Scout all through the walk. Today it was like it was back then. I ran after that little girl over and over. It was such fun. We saw Niles and Caber followed by Ester, Dhali and Jenny. There is always a moment when we all run into each other and we are in a scrum of people and dogs that I understand Aussie's words of wisdom. We saw Benji and Pierre and than Ziggy on the final trail. My people just packed up a lunch and are getting water together. That can't be good news. I am guessing they are going to be out all day but not over night. Well, at least we had a great walk this morning. I am going to nap and dream of all things park, peeps and my BDFF's.

no photo day

So, this is something you will hardly ever hear me say. I was really tired today. I insisted on going to the park but I did not run after other dogs very much at all. I had opportunity too. The Vizslas', Jewel and Logan were there and just beggin' to be chased. I ran a little with them and Ada . Down at the dog beach we saw Mia and Molly along with Chuck and Sam. Sam was a runner and looking for fun. I chased him a little bit but gave up pretty quickly. One funny thing did happen that I want to tell you. I saw a girl who looked just like Daisy. I ran back to say hello to her and realized it wasn't her. Guess what her name was? Rose! It wasn't Daisy but it was still a flower name! We saw a Weimaraner named Otto. He is 11 1/2 years old and stubborn as all get out. His people kept calling him and calling him and he did what he felt like doing. I say at 11 and a 1/2 he has earned a little latitude! Both of my people came today but our girl stayed home. My person who only walks sometime saw someone she knew and she had a nice girl named Molly. That is sort of a popular name Molly. So, I want to give a shout out to all of the dogs who have served in the armed forces. On this Memorial Day we thank you for our freedoms!

Mimi & Turbo sittin' in a tree

This is Mimi minding her own business and not yelling at me. Today was a very nice walk. As we were almost to the river a beautiful yellow butterfly came up to me and almost landed on my nose. I sat down and the little butterfly flew around me in a big circle over and over again. We once had a little kitten named Bowie when I was a little puppy. Bowie died right after he was a year old. We were all very sad. Our girl says that Bowie energy sometimes reaches us through beautiful butterflies. I think she is right. Hi Bowie! Glad you are OK. Off to the river where there was a German Shepard named Elka. She was strong and beautiful Turbo was there with his new little sister Molly the Puggle. Zevi the puppy we met yesterday showed up and those two youngins' had a blast. They were rolling in the mud and chasing each other. It was definitely an "aw shucks" moment for me watching them. So, I am in the water and I look up on the beach and what do I see? Mimi and Turbo KISSING! Can you believe it. My big sister having a public display of affection at the beach! Mimi and Turbo sittin' in a tree, K~I~S~S~I~N~G. Caught you!

We left shortly after that and I was glad because I was a little embarrassed. We saw the lovely Luna walking with the sweet Clementine. Clem always gazes at my person with such love in her eyes. My person sneaks her a treat so I think her motives are not really pure.

We saw Nesta in the lower field. She is such a beautiful Chocolate Lab with gorgeous yellow eyes... Enough of all this lovey, dovey stuff. At the bottom of the hill we saw Jack the Rhodesian Ridge back. He is a tall handsome fellow. Ester and Dhali showed up with their friend Daphanie. I think it was Daphanie's person walking Ester and Dhali. It is good that the peeps can be flexible sometimes. The weather today is so beautiful! I can not describe in words the breeze, beautiful smells, singing birds etc. I do have one thing I would like to mention to you though. It is clear to everyone about the beauty that is my tail. Lately, peeps and pooches have been mentioning another attribute of mine.
My smile . What do you think? I should pay more attention to that! Have a great day and if you steal a burger off the grill, remember they are HOT!

Oh What a Beautiful Morning

I love life! First let me tell you that this is the view from the dog beach. If you are standing on the beach or in the water and look to you right this is what you get to see. Do you see why we love being there! Anyway, we left a little earlier than usual and it paid off. We saw Manny on our way down Chipmunk Alley. He is such a solid boy! As we were all joking and jumping around a cute little dog scooted by. As it turns out it is a 10 month old boy named Zevi. He is Aussie Shepard and Schnauzer. Well, he is a bundle of energy and fun. We ran into the folks who always have like 4 dogs with them. We found out that the miniature Yorkie is named Thadeus or Tad for short. That dog is smaller than all of our cats. I do not think he knows it though. I think if you told him he would not even believe you. Attitude really is everything. Off to the beach we went and found our friends Scooter and Winnie. Zevi was also there. Scooter and I had a great run and playing time near the water. There was a ton of splashing and running off into the woods. I loved it. Mimi got right in my face screaming at me to pay attention to her. I really love my sister but she is so overprotective of me! Off we went and joined up with Winnie and Scooter for the walk. We passed the part where the Tortoise was yesterday but he ways gone. Hope he is OK. We saw Milo for a few minutes but that is never long enough. They were walking in the other direction so we only played a little. Pearl was up ahead and she turned around and walked with us. I was glad because Pearl is a nice girl. Scooter, Winnie and Pearl are all Labs. Scooter and Winnie are black and Pearl is yellow. It is good that Mimi and I are a pedigree challenged so that we can shake things up and bring a little diversity to our little pack. The rest of the walk was really great. We all just walked together and hung out sniffing and exploring. There are not many puddles right now and I do miss that a lot. Anyway, it was another wonderful day at the park. I am off for a little doggie doze.

Tortoise~

WHAT A DAY!!!!! We saw my boy Bosco as soon as I got to the park. We all took off together and saw the usual crew of Luna, Flannel, Deli and Clem. In another second we saw Tango the Aussie and Tessie the Lab. Tessie is also my neighbor and I know Tessie's girl really well. She comes and visits our girl because they are totally BFFs.
In a short time we ran into an entire pack of dogs that included Liken, Pearl, Ziggy, Reilly and I think there was more. At one point I thought I was going to pee I was so excited. Oh yeah, I pee all the time. My person does not let me pee in the house but in the park I am free to pee. Off we went again and landed at the beach. Another bunch of dogs showed up. Daisy, Roxie, Baily and a cute Poodle whose name I did not catch. More importantly there was a young dog that a person rescued from a shelter in Connecticut. Hooray for the person. The new kids name is Biscuit and he is awesome. Biscuit, Bosco, Daisy the poodle and I found 1 ball and chased each other from the fields to the water, around the beach and back up to the field. It was so much fun. Welcome to the park Biscuit. We are glad you are here. So, off we went and I saw something on the side of the path. I was sniffing away at it when Bosco's person caught me. Turns out it was a Tortoise! It did not stick it's head and legs out because, well because I was sniffing him. Anyway, the people stood around deciding what to do with the little guy. They ended up putting back down and my person gave me a big "leave it". I could tell she was serious so I decided to let her have this one. I think finders keepers should have applied and I could have had my own Tortoise! We met a cool looking dog named Marshal that had his boy with him. Up the hill and off we went. The rest of the walk was either Bosco or I having the ball in our mouth and the other one trying to get it back. We rolled in the high grass together and the whole walk was a complete success! Today was the kind of walk that dogs dream of. Perfect weather, friends, good peeps and finding a secret treasure! Thank the Universe for all things dog Park!

no park

Sad Well, we did not go to the park today. It is rainy and my person has run in and out of the house about a hundred times this morning. I was mad at her but than Jessie peed on the floor and my person stepped in it with no shoes on. See, Karma is a boomerang! See you tomorrow

Small Dog Day

Well, this here is Pierre and Benji the French Bull dogs I talk about sometimes. I hope you can see the little guys. They are very cool dogs and their person and my person are serious canine cronies. We saw Pearl and Scooter on our way in today. Winnie was home dealing with some arthritis. That is one of the problems my sister Jessie has too. It is a drag getting old. We did the entire loop with Pierre and Benji. It was a little different for me but I also liked it a lot. It seemed like everywhere we went we met little dogs today. One dog was even named Little Dog! She is a Shih Tzu and she does not seem to be psychologically harmed by her name at all. I guess they would have had to have named me "Big Dog with Gorgeous Tail." Maybe that is my Native American name! I think they should throw me a Naming Ceremony and everyone should bring marrow bone offerings. Let me see if I can remember who else we saw today. There was a Pug named Ramona who was at the beach with her person and some of his people friends. One of the people was a people puppy. He was by far the luckiest people puppy ever. He was sitting right down in the mud by the water's edge under a big shade tree. Now, most people keep their puppies away from the mud, ground, water etc. I am finally glad to see one of these little fellers being raised right. He was a little unsure of me because I was so much taller than him so I stayed away mostly. I did get a sniff in and that boy was smelling like all kinds of great stuff! So, we saw Tango and Abby as we started the journey to the car. Tango and I started playing really ruff (get it?) and I was just so happy to see big dogs. The people seemed worried about us bumping into their knees or something. They are way too careful sometimes. Live a little I say. Growl and grab your friends neck in your teeth! There is just nothing like it! So, we saw some other small dogs on the way up Chipmunk Alley but I can not remember their names. Mimi and I spent a bunch of time in the woods together. My person could not see us and I saw her trying to use her hearing to figure where we were. Let's face it, my person is just not a dog and therefore can not hear like me. Anyway, I promised Mimi that what happens in the woods, stays in the woods so I gotta shut my big mouth about that. OK. I am off to dream land after my day with my small dog buddies.

What's In a Breed?

Well, happy Tuesday to you. When we started off on the walk today we saw Maggie, Liken and Lola. They were all leaving. We saw these 2 great dogs, Dexter and Fred. Their person was asking my person if Mimi is related to this other dog named Chloe. My person was saying no but they do look alike but are not the same breed etc. It got me to thinking; What's in a breed? I think I mention dog's breed just so folks can sort of get an idea what they look like. Does it really matter though? Officially I am a Bordernese. That is a Border Collie/ Bernese Mountain dog. I am registered as Merlin the Wizard of Northampton. I bet you all did not know that did you? Does it really matter? I bet it does to some people but to most of my friends and me it does not. I think we can all be proud of the traits we have gotten from our ancestors but it is time for all of us to move on and take responsibility for our own futures. Wait, I have to jump down off my soap box. OK, moving on we saw my boy Ridge. He is a cool dude. Bosco passed us as my person and Ridge's person talked. We saw Ziggy along the way and caught up to Bosco at the dog beach and walked with him the rest of the way. We saw Daisy, Bandit, Jenny, Ester and Dhali along the way. It seems like we are back in the grove of seeing the regulars. I like routine. I almost forgot. When we first started walking we saw Deli, Luna and Flannel. Flannel is one lucky boy because he has a Girl just like we have Our Girl. Anyway, Flannel's person said that his girl cut out a picture of me and was carrying it around with her. What a smart little girl.Shucks, I am verklempt. Anyway, it's a dogs life and I am glad I am me.

Who Knew about Mondays~

Everything was so wonderful today. First of all both of my people came to the park with me and Mimi. Now that is definitely a great start. When we got out of the car we saw Tango, Maggie, Bosco, Deli, Flannel, Clementine, Vulcan, Merlin and Kika. No kidding! Everyone was there at the same time. We headed down Chipmunk Ally with the Newfies and Bosco was up ahead. Mimi and I just leave right away now and head up into the woods on the hill. My person does not even look for us because she knows we will come out at the end of the woods and join her. So, the Newfie's hung out and we kept going. We caught up to Bosco at the Dog Beach. He was with Zelda, Abby, Liken and all of the people that drive them to the park. We were chasing a ball and Mimi complained the entire time. I gotta say when she does that all the people go "Aw, Mimi" and pet her and stuff. I guess that is what she really wants because she is not a dogs, dog. Anyway, we chased the ball over and over. My mates are all very good ball chasers and so I finally got a hold on one ball and would not give it back. I do not have to run anymore and all of the others pay attention to me.
On the hill we saw the lovely little Bella girl who is really the hero of the park and a friend to all. We ran into Walter in the big field. Bosco, Abby and Walter ran off together. Walter's person says he is afraid of me. Walter teases me and wants me to chase him all of the time. I don't think that is fear but people see things differently than dogs. If that is fear I hope everyone is afraid of me me because I would run and play a lot. Oh yeah, that is what I do. BOL (bark out loud)
We saw Daisy, Dhali and Ester while still in the upper fields. It was one big doggie pallozza today I am telling you!
On the way out we saw Bandit and Amber. All in all it was a wonderful, wonderful day for me at the park. May you all have sweet dreams and happy tails to you!

Sundays are great

I really do not have much to say today. We had a super walk on an absolutely beautiful morning. We saw the Basset Hound named Elvis (get it? He aint nothin but a hound dog) and his sister Bessie. Also, they have a Mastiff puppy named Henry and A Dachshund and I always forget her name. She could ride Henry's back as he gets bigger. We stopped at the dog beach for a few minutes but we did not know a lot of dogs there and moved on. I was glad we did because just as we were about to go up the big hill we heard a bunch of yelling, barking, howling and yelping going on back at the beach. We saw Ziggy on the hill and met a couple of labs. We saw
Cody the dancer on one of the upper paths and I had to insist on not dancing today. He is a good guy and we got along fine. On our way out we saw Bella and another golden named Daisy. Bella did her usual roll over on her back and my person rubs her belly. She had been swimming and was soaking wet. I do love that little girl. We saw the Newfies today and Turbo and Molly on our way out. After we got in the car we saw Amber who is also doing OK. I am glad the girls who have had some scary health problems are doing OK. Keep the faith! Hail to the Canine Gods!

Saturday again!

Say Hello to Molly one of the newest members of the doggie park crew. She is a 7 week old Puggle and Turbo's little sister. OK I think she is the cutest little girl!~~
My person was in a bit of a rush this morning when it came to the walk. Apparently Our Girl had to go and sing down town today so our walk was a bit rushed! I tell you sometimes we are treated as second class citizens.
So, Mimi and I ran right into the woods and our person headed down Chipmunk Ally. She trusted us enough that she did not call us to her until we had gone a long way till the woods ended. I was afraid after Mimi taking off last week we would lose some privileges. Trust is really what it is all about. You can train your people to trust you and than you can really get away with so much!
We saw Pearl and she got right in between my persons legs and laid down. She is a very sweet girl and my person and her person stopped to talk. Now, my person really seems to like this guy and yet there is no butt sniffing at all. I think I am going to have to give up trying to figure that out. They just do not show affection the same way us canines do but we can not expect to much from them. We walked alone a lot but I did not mind. Sometimes it's nice just to have our family together. So, we saw Ziggy and she is doing just fine. We ran into Shanna who I think I was calling Shawna last week. Anyway, she is a nice girl. We saw Pierre and Benji and on the way out we saw Liken and Elsie. My person put us in the car to go and see Elsie's people puppy. She did not take too long because we had to get home to take Our Girl downtown. I think they ran into Bosco's people downtown. I heard them talking. You would think they would have run home and got me and Bosco but no. I tell you it is so unfair that we got left at home. Truthfully, I was so tired I enjoyed the nap. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

why is it cold again?

I do not really care if it is cold I just thought I'd say it because my person said it like 50 times this morning. There were a ton of cars in the parking lot but we hardly saw anyone at Chipmunk Ally. the first dogs we saw were Niles, Caber and Ziggy. We all just sort of hung out together while our people talk. Thanks for your note Ziggy. I am so glad your person reads the blog to you!
Anyway, after that we saw Deli, Clementine, Luna & Flannel. Those guys always walk together. I yelled at Flannel because he kept bugging me. I have yelled at him before but he is still a youngster and I remember that phase of my development well so I cut him some slack. We walked with Rascal for awhile after that. We all went to the beach and I had a great lay down in the water and chill moment or two. Guess what Rascal told me? He gets to go to a school where there is a farm and kids. He hangs there all day long with bigger children, horses, cows and bunches of other animals. How do I get a gig like that? Chevy gets to hang out our girls school and Rascal with the older kids. No fair.
We walked alone for a long time and Mimi and I played together a lot. She can be fun when she gets over her Chowness. We saw the Border Collies Charlotte (must be said with a Southern drawl) and Scout. As we were leaving we saw Daisy and her person. I was sorry we missed them. Daisy's person kept telling Mimi how glad she is that she is back and how much she missed her. I am glad I did not have to listen to that for too long! OK I am going to go lay on the porch before it starts to rain! Snuggle a person, it is good for their souls!

Mabel

Both of my peeps and Mimi and I went to the park today. We missed the 9 am crew but it turned out great for me. We ran into Mabel right as we started down Chipmunk Ally. I have met this girl once before but we did not get much time to play. Well, that changed today. Mimi was her usual stand offish self. We all ran up and down the hills together and had a ton of fun. Down at the beach we ran into Cody (the one who tries to dance with me) and a beautiful Great Dane/ Greyhound named Alice. she was really beautiful, tall with long legs and beautiful markings. Cody had seemed to claim her all for himself but she is not ready to be tied down. So, it turned into Merlin, Mimi, Mabel, Cody and Lucy all doing the River Dance. Let me tell you you have not seen the River Dance until you see the canine version at the beach in the dog park!
We left the beach and headed toward the big hill. Mabel kept running into the woods and hiding. She would poke her little nose up and I would chase her out of her hiding spot. I am pretty good at hide and go sniff but she was a worthy contender. FUN,FUN,FUN.
We ran through the field after the big hill. that is where these photos were taken. Just so you know, Mabel was not dominating me. That is just her way of letting me know she has my back! So, we saw that beauty of a Bull Dog, Mia. She had on a spiffy pink harness. You go girl. It must have been Bull dog day because we also saw Pierre and Benji and another one named Chuck. I had never met Chuck before but he is a corker. He ran right with us big dogs and when he was done ran right between my persons legs to get to his person. I think my person thought we were going to follow him! YIKES. I am muddy, wet and smelly! Obviously, it was a good day!

Mimi returns

Hello, Mimi here. I want to put in a disclaimer that the views expressed here are those of my brother Merlin alone. The section you are about to read about me is a gross misinterpretation of the actual events. Mimi
Yeah, right! Mimi was back in action today and running like crazy. I sometimes wonder if she fakes the limp instead of just admitting she can't keep up with me! Anyway, we had an afternoon walk today so I did not expect to see anyone I knew. Right before the dog beach we saw Tessie, Lenny and Denver. I do not get to see any of these folks very often so it was a nice treat. their people are very friendly to my person. Again, there was happy excited voices but no sniffing at all. Denver got an all out summer shave down! He looks good but it is shocking to see. He looks a little puppyish which could have added benefits. Off to the beach and I met a new guy named Max. That is him in the photo. His person does not know his breed and really, who cares? We are all members of the dog race! Max and I played and had a splashing good time. Mimi was jealous as usual. We headed back after the beach to start Mimi off slow for her first day back. We did go up the semi big hill with the bench on top. My person and I are half way up when we realize we do not see Mimi. My person calls her over and over again. Nothing. I could see her getting nervous and we started heading back down hill. Sometimes Mimi goes deeply into the woods so we headed under some trees and way off the path. My person is yelling "Mimi, Mimmers". Nothing. At the same time we heard a jingle, jingle and through the woods saw Mimi running up the path. I am glad she is found and OK but I think she kept going straight when we went up. Come on Mimi, you know that is the real story! Any dog worth a lick would never leave their person. Beagles and other tracking dogs may be an exception to that rule but over all we stick with our peeps! I love the path after that hill because it is really shady and flat so my person does not trip and fall. One path over is what I call "Pleases don't let my person trip ally." There are lots of stones and she looks a little dorky. Oh well, not everyone can be me.

Where's Merlin?

Hey check out the picture to the left. Do you see me? I had just snagged a ball away from Liken, Daisy and Ziggy and I was trying to hide in the tall grass. My person chasing me around to get the picture did not help my hiding place but it was still fun. Anyway, Bella was leaving as I got there. She licked my person right on the face. I do not get jealous of Bella. She is just a great little girl. So, Mimi stayed home today and boy was she mad! Daisy and her person waited for us and I said "What up,dawg?" So, off we went and it was so great because Daisy ran right up the hills on Chipmunk Ally with me. I still miss my sister but Daisy is my numero uno replacement for her. We met a guy named Fergus at the beach. He looked a like Reilly but had a more serious side. I laid right down in the water as usual and Fergus' people kept saying what a pretty face I have. GEE, thanks. Obviously they were brilliant folks. So, off again and we see Abby (Mastiff) and Walter. We just sort of passed each other but we all tried to show our best moves doing it. We saw nobody else until Tango the Vishala. Now, we played and than Daisy played with him and than I got mad. Daisy and I had a little spat about who is Tangos BDFF. It was quick and off we went. We saw Cody with the pretty tail. I was a little shy because I would not let my person brush my tail yesterday and it is not at it's highest potential. Ziggy and Liken caught up to us just as we were leaving. That is when I got the ball. Just another day in heaven is all. They call our city "Paradise City". Ain't it the truth. Chew a bone for peace!
