We did not go to the park until after noon today. That is OK with me because sometimes we meet new dogs. Today we met a sweet little Maltese named Sabrina. Sabrina was a perfect name for that pretty little girl. She had a pony tail on the top of her head! Even that was cute. I did not have the heart to tell her that all three of our cats at home are bigger than her.
We walked down to the river and got to be there alone for a little bit. I laid in the river while Mimi went putsing around the area. My person was chilling out on the seat that the canine cronies have built out of logs and stones. Yeah right! I jumped up and started splashing around and getting everyone soaked. BOL (bark out loud)
We headed around the loop and at the top we ran into a dog walker who had 4 dogs with her. They were Blue, Sherman, Tekka and Skelly. I liked them all. Blue was really old but the other 3 each played a little bit with me. Sherman is only 8 months old and right before the parking lot started doing some running and playing. Do you know what they told me? The dog walker lives in Westhampton which is where Camp Grinning Dog is. The dog walker and her family just moved there. Anyway, she has a Pitt/Lab mix who is 16 months old named Annie. They went out for a long walk in the woods the other day and guess who the dogs chased. A PORCUPINE!!!! YIKES! The poor little girl Annie has over a thousand quills in her. They said they had to go to the emergency room and a bunch of people pulled them out for 5 hours. There are still more in there! They are going to have to work their own way out of the poor little girls body. Poor Annie! I guess she is OK but has to stay home and chill out and stay on medicine for a little while.
Stay away from those pointy little critters who are only proteting themselves but that will hurt you for sure.
That is the end of my advise for today. I know, I am smart as well as pretty.
