Hello, Mimi here. I want to put in a disclaimer that the views expressed here are those of my brother Merlin alone. The section you are about to read about me is a gross misinterpretation of the actual events. Mimi
Yeah, right! Mimi was back in action today and running like crazy. I sometimes wonder if she fakes the limp instead of just admitting she can't keep up with me! Anyway, we had an afternoon walk today so I did not expect to see anyone I knew. Right before the dog beach we saw Tessie, Lenny and Denver. I do not get to see any of these folks very often so it was a nice treat. their people are very friendly to my person. Again, there was happy excited voices but no sniffing at all. Denver got an all out summer shave down! He looks good but it is shocking to see. He looks a little puppyish which could have added benefits. Off to the beach and I met a new guy named Max. That is him in the photo. His person does not know his breed and really, who cares? We are all members of the dog race! Max and I played and had a splashing good time. Mimi was jealous as usual. We headed back after the beach to start Mimi off slow for her first day back. We did go up the semi big hill with the bench on top. My person and I are half way up when we realize we do not see Mimi. My person calls her over and over again. Nothing. I could see her getting nervous and we started heading back down hill. Sometimes Mimi goes deeply into the woods so we headed under some trees and way off the path. My person is yelling "Mimi, Mimmers". Nothing. At the same time we heard a jingle, jingle and through the woods saw Mimi running up the path. I am glad she is found and OK but I think she kept going straight when we went up. Come on Mimi, you know that is the real story! Any dog worth a lick would never leave their person. Beagles and other tracking dogs may be an exception to that rule but over all we stick with our peeps! I love the path after that hill because it is really shady and flat so my person does not trip and fall. One path over is what I call "Pleases don't let my person trip ally." There are lots of stones and she looks a little dorky. Oh well, not everyone can be me.

Merlin, I love you, but you KNOW Mimi has a right to her own opinion (even if you think it's rabbit poop).
I"m really enjoying your bog. Mom (Abby) read s it to me sometimes while I"m laying down near her chair.
I like Mable, too - she's really fun!.
Ziggy.
