what a great day

That is Bella! I will get to her in a minute.
What a glorious day at the park. We started off and I immediately noticed how many more birds were singing than usual. It must be because it is a sunny day! We saw Lyle with his person and I did not even recognize them. Lyle's person got some serious grooming done. I think he and Mimi sort of bonded because they both have summer hair cuts. The beach found me running with Liken and Reilly. This seems to be a regular thing now. I like that idea a lot because they are very cool dogs. I also saw Tango the Vizsla dog. That baby sure can play hard. We left without taking a dip in the water. It was so much fun running around in the field that I completely forgot. We got our flea treatments this morning so it is just as well because you are not supposed to get it wet. I hate rules! They are totally made up by people for their convenience. I think I might organize a protest for us dogs. I will let you know the time and place.
So, let me tell you how happy I was to see Bella today with her person. It was so exciting! Bella is clearly still alive and having a blast with life. Her person was away for a long time and I guess that all is well with her too. I finally figured something out about the people today. My person went up to Bella's person and wrapped her top paws (the ones they do not put on the ground) around Bella's person and than let go after a second. Bella's person did the same back to her. They were smiling and had their high pitched happy voices. I think that thing they do called "hugging" is a little like butt sniffing for us. They seemed so happy and like they knew each other a little better. I believe it is a little weird but I sort of get it.
So, we stayed in the lower field right before the hill and the people talked. Clementine and a semi new dog named Jasmine showed up. Again, no butt sniffing but the people hung for a long time. Jasmine used to have to be on a lead and have a serious collar on but she was off lead and socializing just fine. Hooray for Jasmine for learning that we are all friends. OK. I gotta go get some sleep. I am due for a big brushing and I need all of my energy to argue with my person.
