reincarnation?

This is Mimi taking her time getting out of the woods.

Yesterday while I was bogging a big cat fight broke out outside. I lost my train of thought and never finished the "where's your sister mister?" thing. Mimi is there at the park with me but she takes off into the woods. In this area my person gives us plenty of space and time to explore. She does have a lot of good qualities. Anyway, because of that when she does call to us that it is time to go I run to her right away. Not Mimi. she takes her time and pulls her hokey, poky routine. So, I go to our person and she says "Where's your sister mister?" Sometimes, I just don't want to be in charge of her all the time. GEEZEEE.
So, today we met an old man named Rex. He does not know he is 11 and has slowed down. I am going to keep the secret. There was another little dog with him named Emerald. This dog is what we call an "ankle biter." He was a little wire haired guy that was very small. He went right after Mimi and started nipping at her ankles and just plain old bugging her. Now, Mimi can certainly take care of herself but I ran right over and told that little guy to back off. Like most ankle biters he did not get the message and my person insisted Mimers and I keep moving. That was probably a good move on her part.
This is Mimi, Bella and Me at the beach.
Now, here comes the really cool part. We went to the beach and we were the only dogs there. We had the beach and the river to ourselves. I took the big plunge right away while Mimi got a drink and dug in the mud a little bit. It was so nice to be there alone but soon Bella showed up. Now, if any dog was going to join us Bella is the one I would pick. Anyway, Bella's person came with another people friend. This woman had very good energy. That being said, I could tell my person was very interested in what she was saying so I got close to hear. So, this new canine cronie was saying that she think that dogs are the reincarnation of really good people who have passed on. She mentioned some names that mean nothing to me but maybe your people can explain them to you. She said people like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa and a bunch more, have done such good work as humans that they get to come back as us dogs in good homes so they can relax and just enjoy the next life. WOW, now that is a lot for my little brain to think about. After that my person told her my name and she said "See, he was Merlin, the great and powerful Wizard and now he gets to be a dog!" It really is a good theory!
We stayed at the beach for a long time. When we left we walked mostly alone but it was great. Mimi and I ran off into the woods for long periods while I keep one eye on the path where my person is. I know I have left paw prints on her heart and she has left foot prints on mine. When we were about to leave we met a little puppy Cairn Terrier named Mac. OK, he was so cute and he was with another Cairn Terrier named Bella. They are so little and cute and they do not bite ankles!
I hear it might rain tomorrow! Think sunny thoughts.
